We welcome Mario Cerón-Romero to the lab! A previous member of the Heath Lab at UIUC, he is a phylogeneticist and bioinformatician who has studied a wide variety of systems including Rhizobium-legume mutualism, Plasmodium falciparum, and LECA. He will be bringing this expertise to continue his work with Rhizobium bacteria phylogeny and incorporating evolutionary game theory into phylogenetic methods.
